Micro businesses are on the increase
The Federation of Small Businesses say that one in three of the UK’s small businesses said sales have increased in the past year. Recession or otherwise, you can start up a new business on a shoestring and living and working in the community can be successful and satisfying if you are dedicated, hard working and passionate. Local success can be gained by word of mouth, which means you don’t have to advertise or promote. But what if you can’t satisfy a customer’s request?

Send them to your competitors
Crazy? Not really. Using your networks and contacts, even if they are your competitors will mean knowledge sharing benefits everyone. Inevitably, this keeps standards high and maintains quality. Anyway, what goes around, comes around and the next time you may benefit from a referral!
